Commitment

I aim to make this site accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. This is an ongoing effort, and the site is not yet fully compliant with all accessibility standards.

Current measures

Semantic HTML: The site uses standard heading hierarchies (h1–h6), landmark elements, and semantic markup.
Alt text: All images and diagrams have descriptive alt attributes.
Skip to content: A skip-navigation link is available at the top of every page.
Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard.
Color contrast: The Hextra theme provides WCAG AA-compliant contrast ratios in both light and dark modes.
Responsive design: The site is usable on mobile, tablet, and desktop viewports.
Dark mode: A theme toggle allows switching between light and dark color schemes.
Math rendering: Mathematical notation is rendered as HTML with accessible fallbacks via KaTeX or MathJax.

Known limitations

SVG diagrams: The methods and project diagrams are SVG images with alt text but may not provide the same level of detail as the surrounding text for screen reader users.
PDF content: Any linked PDF documents (e.g., publications) may not meet accessibility standards.
Third-party links: External sites linked from this site (ORCID, publisher pages, etc.) have their own accessibility profiles.

Standards

This site aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA as a target. Full conformance has not been audited.
